I.A.M. have two 3-point linkage McConnel hedge trimmer models as part their 'Groundcare' range of products, which are an ideal alternative to hand -held hedge trimmers, which can contribute to "whitefinger" syndrome.

Using an articulated McConnel 'Power Arm' they are available with 1.2m or 1.5m cutterbars, and can cut and trim hedges, bushes - and can even trim small ornamental trees.

Aimed at the domestic / professional markets, the 'Swingtrim' models are designed to be mounted on a CAT 1 three-point linkage, which makes them ideal for as small as 15hp + compact tractors.

What makes the 'Swingtrim' models different from other compact style hedgecutters is the fact that they can cut in any position, both on the left and the right hand side of the tractor. This type of machine is perfect for working in tight hard to get at areas such as narrow alleyways ,paths, gardens tightly grouped trees etc. where access is limited.

The McConnel Swingtrim also features an automatic breakaway device, which once activated resets itself automatically.

Hydraulics are worked by the tractors external supply and control the cutterbar and 'PowerArm'.
