To assist you to determine the age of a bomford machine, a letter has been incorporated in the serial number eg; 1234D

Cutting Heads on flail machines are distinguished by having an additional letter A, eg:1234DA

The key to the system is as follows:
C = 1972 V = 1986 M = 2001
D = 1973 W = 1987 N = 2002
E = 1974 Y = 1989 P = 2003
F = 1975 Z = 1990 R = 2004
H = 1976 B = 1991 S = 2005
K = 1978 C = 1992 T = 2006

N = 1980 E = 1994 W = 2008
