New low cost bale feeder line-up from Hustler
We’ve recently announced a new range of products from New Zealand based Hustler Handling Equipment. Hustler has developed a vastly improved round or big square bale shredder-feeder which will suit those who feed silage bales to smaller numbers of livestock. Here’s what makes them such good value for money compared to more expensive turbine type bale feeders:
- MOUNTED OR TRAILED MODELS – choose from two linkage mounted and one trailed model with twin bale capacity .
All handle large rectangular bales in addition to round
bales.
- TWO MODELS HAVE NO SIDE CHAINS – NO TINED SLATS – new design combines a polyethylene bale platform and
twin large diameter hydraulic drive shredding rotors which tease-out the bale. Net and twine can be removed on the smooth snag-free platform surface. Basic model also available.
- VERY EFFECTIVE SHREDDING SYSTEM – the platform tilts hydraulically to press the bale against the twin shredding rotors. The rotors both travel in the same direction - at different speeds - enabling the large triangular teeth to tease-out and feed most types of bale – including hard cored round silage bales.
- SELF-LOADING – all models self-load. The mounted models have a quick detach platform enabling the tractor to also load the bale feeder with the twin tined fixed front headstock remains on the tractor. The trailed model has
a rear mounted pivoting headstock with twin tines which
lifts bales 180 degrees up and over on to the platform
- and has a 2.3 tonne load capacity. A second bale can
be carried on the tines whilst the first bale is fed.
- ECONOMY BASIC MODEL – the SL 350 mounted model
with conventional side chain and cross slat platform is
also available and includes the self-load facility.
