Strautmann introduces a new discharge system for vertical fodder mixing trailers, called the C-conveyor – available for selected models in the product range from 7.5 - 28 m³.

The new Strautmann discharge conveyor offers unprecedented possibilities of feeding into troughs of up to a height of 1.40 m in spite of extremely low overhead clearance.

Vertical fodder mixing / feeding machines are now accepted as the superior fodder mixing system for all cattle enterprise types. As housing units on farms differ greatly in clearance dimensions and discharge heights, the manufacturers of feed-mixers offer plenty of various discharge alternatives to meet the individual requirements. The newly designed Strautmann C-conveyor is a crossover conveyor based on a flexible frame structure.

This crossover conveyor can be operated from the tractor's seat in a wide variety of
operating conditions without modification requirements:- see below summary of possibilities with C Conveyor.

• The Strautmann C-conveyor permits discharge heights of 1.40 m.
• The Strautmann C-conveyor can be used as a standard crossover conveyor, as a movable crossover conveyor and as an "elevating conveyor".
• As a pure crossover conveyor when discharging directly beside the machine onto a feeding table at ground level to the right and left.
• As a pure crossover conveyor when discharging within a range of up to 40 cm next to the machine to the right and left.
• As an "elevating conveyor" when discharging into elevated troughs or other containers to the right or left, with an additional height gain of 60 cm, compared to a standard crossover conveyor, and a lateral displacement of 40 cm.

Apart from the variety of operating conditions, a particularly interesting feature is the width of the machine equipped with a C-conveyor, which is not more than that of a fodder mixing machine equipped with a standard crossover conveyor.

Vertical fodder mixing machines equipped with a C-conveyor therefore excel by maximum flexibility while offering the proven compactness of the machine, thus enabling the farmers to feed all their animals by means of only one machine, without any modifications necessary.
