The double K is unique in utilising two unequal size augers. The rear auger has a substantially smaller diameter than the front auger and the rear tub is more conical in shape. This provides two major advantages over conventional twin auger types:

1. LOWER POWER REQUIREMENT – Start-up torque reduces by 15%. With a 2-speed gearbox fitted, the power requirement on a 15cu.m model is only 52hp. On the top of the range 21 cu.m model, power requirement is only 74hp.  A smaller tractor can be used with substantial fuel cost savings.
2. NARROW OVERALL WIDTH – the waisted lower body shape enables the wheels to be substantially tucked-in to the recess. Overall width is reduced to only 2.16m on the 15cu.m model and 2.42m on the larger models. The use of wide 22.5” tyres enables a single axle system to be used – improving handling and providing a cost saving.

There are four Double K models in the VertiMix range with 13, 15, 18 and 21 cubic metre capacities.
