We are pleased to announce that Strautmann have now developed two new compact Vertimix models to extend their range. This now provides farmers who have difficulty accessing their buildings with a large wagon - or those who only feed low numbers - to have an economical solution. Here's the specification:

  • Two models - with 4 and 5 cubic metre capacity
  • Compact dimensions - just under 6 foot wide and only 6 foot 6 inches in height (7 foot 2 inches on the 500 model)
  • handles baled hay and silage - capacity for both round and square bales
  • single 'Vario' auger with 4 knives - adjustable sabre shaped knives are slanted rearward to reduce power requirement by up to 25%.
  • Lower cost construction - no chassis and a single outlet on the right hand side keeps the cost at a sensible level.
  • Strong construction - the tub base plate is 12mm thick; walls are 6mm.
  • Optional weighing system - three weighbars are located in the rear axle and drawbar
  • Low power requirement - easily driven by a modest tractor
